To prove that the comic isn't dead, I updated the site with a little filler art. Two pieces of art of this chapter's main characters at a park.

We have the pup, aka Little One, and Luanne on a swingset and Victor and Xan on those bouncy ride things.

We're not dead. Ben is distracted with making zombies and other such things at his comic. I've gotten another paged inked, but not scanned, and a second page poorly pencilled, so I might have to go back over it. He hasn't forgotten about coloring SoaD, though. He sent me a peek..

Plus, he sent me fan art of Hanna.

Oh, crazy, crazy Hanna.

So, don't give up on us. There will be updates.

Filler art

...is better than no art at all. For all of us.

Working just one job with too much overtime is probably better than that plus a part-time gig you're trying to quit. Next, you will want to eat, sleep, and maybe even bathe.

When we have comic needs!

Re: Filler art

Yeah. I often go, "Starbucks or Borders might have been able to get me insurance faster for a part time job", but really, working that and Central Market? Two part time jobs that are big on the standing for long periods of time without rest? Plus, the responsibility of food handling with Starbucks...
It wouldn't have worked out, because Borders paid a lot less. To work at Borders for an hour, I'd earn $3 less than CM, but ensure that I have health care. But I wasn't making ends meet with the hours CM was giving me. I'm not sure if I could have worked enough hours at Borders for them to want to keep me while also earning my living at CM.
I don't know if Starbucks could have paid better- they never called back. :-(

Turbomeca had a tour of Canadians who are down here from the Canadian branch of the company. They're gonna work here a while. I wonder what they'll do for insurance.
I did learn that the health care for my company is Blue Cross/Blue Shield Alabama, which is cheaper than Texas, or something. *shrug*
